| 40k fun |
[Jan. 21st, 2009|01:53 pm] |
Well I went against ork bikers for the last round, and it was definitely fun even though I lost. It lasted 4 rounds and what screwed me was that his nobz made it's leadership check when it was the only one left (it needed snake eyes to stay). So the next round all my guys had to attack the left over nobz instead of his second half of his army. He was left with 4 ork bikers and Wazdakka in the end. I think I did quite well :p

| Wedding |
[Jul. 28th, 2008|02:15 pm] |
Well swordmage and I got married on Saturday, and all is getting to calm down some. I will be spending the next week recovering from the planning/stress and cleaning up the apartment that has been neglected over the last month.
The wedding was a lot of fun...I think everyone had a great time too =). We opened up with the ceremony which was full of geekiness. Several Dune references, a computer OS line in my vows, some math goodness...and swordmage walking down the aisle to the Imperial March on Bagpipes.
The reception was fun filled starting out with my best man singing/performing some of my favorite songs on his guitar. People started playing games and all was good with the world. Lunch was next and it was very good and enjoyed by all (I think :p)...followed by setting up Rock Band for people to play (people seemed to enjoy it and presumed to rock out =) ). We also played Music of our choice in the background off the ipod on shuffle. The cake of choice for this wedding was Cheesecake (topped with Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas)... swordmage baked them all and all were very delicious.
The night continued with a family dinner at Macaroni Grill. The family seems to be getting along well, which is very good. The food was very good, but not much more to say about the evening.
That was the Wedding in a nutshell.
Pictures and Videos to come... |

Your result for Which Chess Piece are You Test?... The Knight's City Guard
The Knight’s City Guard is characterized by the desire to serve others in times of need. Sometimes this drive is so powerful that the standard ‘give-and-take’ is unsatisfying. They are bound very much to social convention and don’t like to include moral or political controversy. The City Guard is often forgotten because they are so reliable. They are loyal and great producers of quality – which end up allowing others to take for granted what the City Guard gives. They are hurt by being treated as a doormat but are unwilling to toot their own horn about accomplishments. This is due to that it feels somewhat wrong to want a reward for doing work which is a virtue in itself. The City Guard can be overworked and suffer from self inflicted headaches. They are methodical workers with good memories and analytical abilities. They are great in small groups because of their patience. They make pleasant co-workers and better employees. They tend to feel a bit harried by supervisory roles. They form strong loyalties of a personal nature. This is opposed to institutional loyalty. If someone leaves the company that’s close to this type – they may leave as well. They are perfect as teachers, administrators, clerics and fit right in amongst nursing or medical careers. The Knight’s City guard is concerned with harmony and traditional behavior. They have a few close friends and are extremely loyal. Don’t confront them, they hate that. Also if the Knight’s City Guard is moody – it could be because they haven’t shared something of importance. Most friends of the City Guard feel ashamed later when finding out why the Guard refused to share the source of their trouble. This ‘Pawn’ is wonderful because they are the diplomat of emotions and needs. They are society’s most constructive and protective member. Take Which Chess Piece are You Test? at HelloQuizzy |

| | happy | ] | Well everything on my end has been going well. Work is great, been heading to the gym, been fighting, wedding things are getting settled...all in all good =). Fighting has been a blast and I have been learning so much with both Tuesdays and Thursdays. Sometimes it is still sensory overload, but I am getting better at sorting the info and applying what people tell me. Yesterday my new helm got in, so hopefully this one will work out. Still need to strap the grill, pad, and drill to attach chin strap. Wedding plan have also been coming together quite nicely =). The venue is all paid for other than food. Somewhat soon we have to start getting on people that haven't sent rsvps back and see if they are coming or not so we can get an accurate number for food at the reception.
Well I am back to work...I will leave you all with a couple vids of one of my favorite bands.
Hope you enjoy.

| | aggravated | ] | Well went out to see my best friend in Phoenix saturday with swordmage and had an awesome time. Got back to my apartment around 2 am. Locked up the car went walked to my apartment and went to sleep. Woke up, did a few things, got ready to head out around 11 am. When i get to my car several things that were in my car was on the ground. Noticed all my doors were unlocked, the back passenger side triangle window was busted into. Not many things were taken, but my cooler lunch box, ipod charger, car tire pump, car power converter, maglite, a couple cds were taken....yet my stereo deck, speakers, and ipod were left untouched. Let me repeat that...the ipod charger was taken, but the ipod was left. I am relieved that my stereo and ipod were not stolen, but still aggravated that my car was broken into.
Ugh... |

Just checking in to show everyone I am not completely dead :p. Life has been going well for me. My job has been keeping me busy with breaking things and all that fun stuff. My wonderful lady swordmage told me to update, so I thought I would be nice since it is her bday this saturday. Been having a lot of fun with my gaming groups (1 I am running which has been a blast =D). Lately I have been getting ready and planning for Highlands War, which btw has a great theme this year ;).
Well I am at work and technically shouldn't be doing this here, so I am off for a bit.
Btw, check out the simply awesome videos I posted earlier =D *SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!* |

| The Order of the Stick Adventure Game: The Dungeon of Dorukan |
[Jun. 27th, 2006|11:17 am] |
Things that are cool about this game:
Train your character in a variety of shticks from their personalized deck. Each of the six playable characters is a different gaming experience, from the cooperative play of Elan to the PvP antics of Belkar. Build the dungeon as you go—-the game board is never the same twice. (Well, actually, it could be the same every, like, trillion games, I guess. Choose which monsters other players will face in battle, but watch out--the monsters can band together to turn the tables on everyone.
Trade your unearthed loot to other players for their assistance in cooperative play, or stab them in the back and run off with their stuff. It's your choice.
More than 500 full-color cards!
Two 12-sided dice, because we felt sorry for them!
An all-new 8-page The Order of the Stick comic in which Roy teaches the other members of the OOTS the rules of the game (with hilarious results).
Release Date: The Order of the Stick Adventure Game: The Dungeon of Dorukan will be available in retail stores in August 2006
Pre-Orders: The APE Games website store will be accepting direct pre-orders starting July 5th, 2006, to be shipped when the game is released in August.
Retail Price: $39.95 |

Just poping in to remind people a bit early for this saturday, June 17th. I will be needing some help to move some larger furniture out of a moving truck that will be arriving around 10 am. I know taranos, great_cthulhu, and nicodeamos said they can help, if anyone else could that would be great. |
